A Boeing 737 which took off from Addis Ababa yesterday crashed 6 minutes later, killing all the 149 passengers and 8 cabin crew members, and among the 149 killed were 4 Indian passengers. Following the shocking incident, condolences have been pouring from across the world.
The flight reportedly had members of UN and residents from 32 nations, and it crashed into a field 37 miles southeast of Addis Ababa, and as per an official announcement from Ethiopian airlines the Boeing 737-800 MAX took off at 8:38 AM and lost contact within 6 minutes.
The airlines also confirmed that there are no survivors from the crash, and Kenya had 32 casualties, followed by Canada (18), Ethiopia (9) and eight from US, Italy and China, and 4 from India. As per the statement given by the CEO, the pilot had said that there were difficulties and that he wanted to return, and he was given clearance. Investigators from America and Ethiopia will be probing the crash.
