Indian team fast bowler Umesh Yadav and wife Tanya Wadhwa have been blessed with their first child - a baby girl. The cricketer took to social media to share the happy news.

"It's a girl," Umesh Yadav wrote on Instagram as well as Twitter on New Year's Day. The fast bowler, who was in Australia for the ongoing Test series left for India on Wednesday night after suffering an injury in his calf muscle on the third day of the second Test on Monday. Announcing the birth of his daughter, Yadav shared a picture that read, "Welcome to the world Little Princess! So thrilled that you are here!" The pacer got married to Tanya Wadhwa in 2013. In the place of Yadav, the management has added limited-overs bowler T. Natarajan for the third Test against Australia. "The All-India Senior Selection Committee has named T Natarajan as Yadav's replacement. Ahead of the Boxing Day Test, Shardul Thakur was added to the Test squad as Mohd. Shami's replacement after the senior fast bowler suffered a hairline fracture in his right forearm," the BCCI mentioned in its statement.

"Both Shami and Umesh Yadav will head to the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru for further rehabilitation of their injuries. Rohit Sharma has completed his quarantine and has now joined the Indian Cricket Team in Melbourne," the board added. The third Test between Australia and India is scheduled to happen at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) from January 7.
