Team India's brand new jersey ahead of the T20 World Cup 2021 was unveiled a few minutes ago by athleisure brand MPL Sports, the official kit sponsors of the Indian cricket team till December 2023. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had announced on Friday that the Indian team would be sporting a new jersey ahead of the upcoming men's T20 World Cup.
A picture of five key Indian players, including KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja and Jasprit Bumrah, donning the new outfit, has been shared by MPL Sports on social media. The navy blue jersey with stripes of a lighter shade of blue has replaced the old navy-blue retro jersey with blue, green, white and red stripes, inspired from the 1992 World Cup kit. "This isn't just a Team, they are the pride of India.
This isn't just a jersey, it is the blessing of a billion fans. Get ready to cheer for Team India and #ShowYourGame," the athleisure brand captioned its post alongside the picture of the players clad in the new jersey.
