Actor Vijay Deverakonda has clarified that the gaming app he endorsed is a registered legal platform and not associated with betting, following his appearance before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) earlier today.
Addressing the media after the inquiry, Deverakonda stated that he had fully cooperated with the ED by submitting all required documentation, including the promotional contract, bank statements, and transaction details. He said that officials were satisfied with the information provided.
“I promoted A23, a registered and legal gaming app,” Deverakonda emphasized. “It is important to distinguish between legal gaming platforms and illegal betting apps. This distinction must be clearly communicated to the public.”

He went on to highlight that platforms such as A23, My11Circle, and Dream11 are not only legally registered but also act as sponsors for major Indian sporting events including the national cricket team, the Olympics, IPL, and WPL.
Urging responsible media reporting, the actor added, “I believe it’s crucial for the media to help clarify this difference to avoid misinformation.”
Deverakonda concluded his statement by expressing trust in the legal system:
“We have the Supreme Court and the Government to determine what is right and what is not. I’ve abided by the law and cooperated fully. The rest is up to the authorities.”
