Film producer Bandla Ganesh has said that the Banjara Hills police have only detained him for questioning and that he hasn’t been arrested.
YCP leader, entrepreneur and film producer Prasad V Potluri had lodged a complaint with the police over Bandla allegedly threatening him with dire consequences for asking him to repay loan amount.
Background of the issue:
Bandla Ganesh is reported to have taken a loan of Rs 30 Cr from PVP to invest in ‘Temper’ many years ago. Ahead of the film’s release, he repaid a part of the principal amount so that the film is allowed a theatrical release. The due amount, however, hasn’t been paid by Ganesh.
As per PVP’s police complaint, Ganesh and his followers created a lot ruckus at his house a few days back. Based on the complaint, the police slapped cases under various sections of the IPC against Bandla.
