Last weekend, the first look poster of the biopic on late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha, titled Thalaivi, was out. Directed by AL Vijay, the biopic has Kangana Ranaut in the titular role. It will hit the screens next June.
Another biopic of Jayalalitha, named ‘The Iron Lady’, is also in the making. Directed by debutant Priyadarshini, it has Nithya Menen playing Jayalalitha. Nithya has said that she is the perfect choice to essay Jaya.
Saying that she shares a lot of similarities with the late AIADMK supremo, Nithya adds that they both studied in Bangalore and that their habits, speaking style, mannerism have similarities.
Nithya also says that, just like Jayalalitha, she too is frank in her ways.
