About the Red Bull Soapbox Race

The Red Bull Soapbox Race is a non-motorised vehicle race where amateur pilots challenge each other with handcrafted vehicles judged on aesthetics, speed, and road-holding. The event was first held in Brussels, Belgium, in 2000 and has since been organized in over 52 countries.

Previous Editions in India

The Red Bull Soapbox Race was previously held in India in 2012 and 2016, both in Mumbai. These editions featured creative vehicles inspired by pop culture icons, historical events, and everyday objects.

2024 Event Details

The third edition of the Red Bull Soapbox Race in India promises to be bigger and better than before. The event will be held on March 3, 2024, at Ramanaidu Studios in Hyderabad from 3 PM to 5 PM.

How to Participate

Anyone with a creative imagination can participate in the Red Bull Soapbox Race. Teams must follow three rules:

Brakes and steering must be fully functional. Creativity is essential in both the soapbox car design and team attire. The fastest team to finish the race will be considered the winner. To participate, teams must apply online on Red Bull India’s official website and submit a sketch of their unique concept. The most creative ideas will be selected and receive a participation kit, including an exclusive Red Bull Soapbox Race driver’s license.
