Actor Karthi was last seen on screen in Jeetu Joseph directorial Thambi sharing screen space with Jyothika and will be soon resuming shooting for Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan and Remo director Bakkiyaraj Kannan's Sultan.

Following this it has been said that Karthi will be acting in director PS Mithran’s next and it has been speculated that this might be a travel based mobile where he'll reportedly play dual roles. PS Mithran, who debuted with Vishal starrer Irumbuthirai had last directed Hero with Sivakarthikeyan.

While an official confirmation on this speculation is awaited, it must be noted that Karthi earlier played a dual roles in the 2011 film Siruthai directed by Siva and Kaashmir and directed by Gokul, playing the hero and the villain.
