The first reason is an extraordinary one. The Rajamouli directorial capitalized on the super-high ticket prices in Telangana, where the highest-ever ticket prices are prevailing. The craze for the movie may have been more in Andhra Pradesh, but the unique advantage prevailing in Telangana has aided the Jr NTR-Ram Charan epic action drama in a big way.

The government's policy in Telangana to give a huge edge to 'RRR' will be talked about for years. This record seems to be unbeatable in the medium term. It might take unusual circumstances for another film to trump 'RRR' in Nizam.

We learn that 'RRR' made Rs 21 Cr or thereabouts in Telangana on Day 1. 'Bheemla Nayak', which was released on February 25, made Rs 11 Cr or thereabouts.
