High Court’s sensational orders on Vairamuthu’s Aandaal comments case

Tamil cinema’s numero uno lyricist courted trouble by quoting an American journal stating that Aandaal the saint poet was a Deva Daasi. Amidst heavy baklash from many religiously inclined people the Kaviperarasu rendered his apology stating that it was not his view and he only quoted others. There were two cases filed against him at Kolathur Chennai and Rajapalayam.

Vairamuthu sought the High Court seeking dismissal of the cases and the case came up for hearing today.  After the arguments of both the sides the judge has passed an interim stay on the cases against the lyricist and has adjourned to February 16th.
