Tamil cinema has been losing several veterans right from the start of 2023. Directors K Viswanath, T.P. Gajendran, E Ramadoss, actress Jamuna, playback singer Vani Jayaram and Pariyerum Perumal actor Thangaraj passed away recently.
Now it has been reported that veteran Tamil film producer Hemnak Babuji passed away today at the age of 76. He has produced two super hit films of Superstar Rajinikanth nameluy ‘Kali’ and ‘Garjanai’. It is noteworthy that he bankrolled the Guinness Record film ‘Suyamvaram’ in 1999.
‘Suyamvaram’ was made in 24 hours with 14 directors, 19 cinematographers and more than 30 leading stars of the time. Sathyaraj, Prabhu, Karthik, Arjun, Pandiarajan, K. Bhagyaraj, Parthiban, Manzoor Ali Khan, Khusbhu, Roja, Urvashi, Aishwarya, Ramba, Kasthuri and Suvalakshmi among others starred in the experimental film that was well received.
The film fraternity is expressing condolences to the late acclaimed producer Hemnak Babuji on social media. RIP!
