"Vishal film actress offered Rs 25 Lakh a month to be a Businessman’s “salaried wife" – Heartbreaking story

Neetu Chandra, who is known for her movies such as ‘Yaavarum Nalam’ opposite Madhavan and ‘Theeradha Vilayatu Pillai’ opposite Vishal has opened up about the incident when a businessman asked her to become his “salaried wife”.

Despite being multi-talented in both acting and sports, Nitu Chandra confessed that she feels unwanted in the industry and talks about how she has been treated in the past. “My story is a failure story of a successful actor. Having worked with 13 National award winners and in such big films, today I have no work. I was told by a big businessman that he will give me 25 lakh per month and that I have to become his salaried wife. I neither have money nor work. I’ve become worried, I feel unwanted here, after doing so much work.”

Recalling an auditioning incident, she said, “A casting director, who is quite famous but I don’t want to take the name, told me within an hour of the audition, ‘I am really sorry Nitu, this is not working out. You literally audition me, to reject me so that you can break my confidence?”

Neethu made her Bollywood debut in 2005 with the movie Garam Masala, co-starring Akshay Kumar and John Abraham. Her Tamil film, Yavarum Nalam with Madhavan, released in 2009, was declared a major hit, after which she played the lead lady in Vishal’s Theeradha Vilayatu Pillai.
