After Pawan Kalyan today announced a donation of Rs 2 Cr to the Centre and the Telugu States towards fighting COVID-19, director Harish Shankar took to Twitter to hit out at the Jana Sena chief’s critics.
“Inkaa cinemalenduku ani anakandi. Kontha mandhiki cinema avasaram. Kontha mandhi cinema ku avasaram,” the ‘Gabbar Singh’ and ‘Gaddalakonda Ganesh’ director said.
SKN, film producer and a fan of Mega family heroes, listed out the philanthropic contributions made by Pawan thus far: Rs 24 lakh for blind cricket team association, Rs 1 Cr for Armed Forces, Rs 1 Cr for the PM relief fund, Rs 1 Cr for the CM relief funds (of AP and TS), Rs 1 Cr for a temple’s food programme. These are just the official donations made by Pawan garu in the last 1-2 years. There are more unofficial ones,” he tweeted out.
Harish will direct Power Star for a film to be produced by Mythri Movie Makers.
