“I’m very happy for MS Dhoni. I’d rather lose to him,” says Gujarat Titans captain Hardik Pandya!

We all know that Chennai Super Kings sealed their fifth IPL trophy by defeating Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. Gujarat Titans is a new IPL team that made their debut last year in the league and also became the champions in their first season. 

Gujarat Titans were considered the strongest team of IPL 2023. They became the first team to qualify for playoffs last year and this year. GT completed first in the league stage with 20 points while CSK finished second with 17 points. GT has beaten CSK three times continuously before IPL 2023 playoffs.

CSK opened their account against the gargantuan side in the right situation in IPL 2023 Qualifier 1. The Yellow Brigade also became the first team to defeat Gujarat Titans in back-to-back matches and they lifted the trophy by winning against GT for the second time. Gujarat Titans is a terrific team captained by Hardik Pandya, who was a former Mumbai Indians player.

Hardik Pandya is a great fan of the CSK skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni. His bromance with Thala is quite famous among the fans. Last night, Pandya said in his presentation that he is happy for CSK’s victory. His words are, “(On MS Dhoni) I’m very happy for him, destiny had this written. If I had to lose, I’d rather lose to him.

“Good things happen to good people, and he’s been one of the best people I know. God has been kind, God has been kind to me as well but today was his night,” the young and talented player added. It is worth mentioning that Hardik Pandya stated in an interview earlier that they have designed Gujarat Titans like Chennai Super Kings.
