Hansika is a famous actress in the Tamil and Telugu film industries. She was last seen in her 50th film ‘Maha’ and the leading heroine has more than half a dozen projects in her kitty. Now, the latest is that Hansika started shooting for one of her upcoming movies in Chennai today.
Hansika will be playing the lead in a horror-comedy film directed by R Kannan. The script is filled with supernatural elements. The film will be high on VFX. Actor Metro Shirish is paired with Hansika while Aadukalam Naren, Brigida Saga and Asuran Pawan are cast as the antagonists. VJ Parvathy, Mayilsami and Indumathi will be seen in the supporting roles.
The shooting commenced with a pooja ceremony in Chennai this morning. The makers have planned to wrap up the shooting in a single schedule of three months. The team has erected a grand palace setup for the same in Chitlapakkam. Both Hansika and Shirish play Aranilaya Thurai employees (Tamil Nadu Hindu Religious & Charitable Endowments Department).
A part of the film (Flashback portions) will be set in the 1940s. Kannan and his team spent over six months on research work to supplement the story. Tholkappiyan has written the story and Srini Selvaraj penned the dialogues. Dhananjayan has taken care of the screenplay and additional dialogues. The untitled film has cinematography by M Balasubramaniem.
