Hansika turns Muslim from Hindu

The first look of Hansika’s upcoming movie Maha stirred up a controversy as soon as it was released. The poster depicted the actor dressed as a Hindu sage smoking substance. The director was accused of targeting and demeaning a specific religion, for which he later provided an explanation on his official social media page.

Meanwhile, in the second look poster that was recently released, Hansika takes the form of a Muslim woman. Director Jameel explained that the actor plays the role of a Muslim in a few scenes in the movie and that he wasn’t involved in the target of any religion.

The first schedule of Maha has been wrapped up, and the shooting for the second schedule will soon begin in Chennai, according to reports. The director intends to release the movie by summer 2019.
