Hang them publicly to instill fear: Chiranjeevi

Chiranjeevi has reacted to the rape and murder of Priyanka Reddy emotionally. In a video message, the Megastar said that the incidents of rape in the last few days have shocked and saddened him.

“I am reacting to the shameful incidents as a brother, a father.  These atrocities on women make me wonder if we are living amidst beasts.  Are women safe anywhere?” the ‘Sye Raa’ actor asked.

“It’s commendable that the rapists (of Priyanka Reddy) have been caught. But it’s also important to give them exemplary punishment.  It wouldn’t be wrong to hang them in the middle of the street so that there is fear,” Chiru said.

He urged women to store the phone numbers of police in mobile, and download the app that sends distress signals to SHE teams.
