Monetary contributions from Tollywood actors and directors/producers continue to pour in.
On Friday, after Allu Arjun’s Rs 1.25 Cr donation (to AP, Telangana and Kerala), ‘Rangasthalam’ director Sukumar announced a donation of Rs 10 lakh to the Telugu States. ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’ and ‘Vakeel Saab’ music director Thaman has chipped in with Rs 5 lakh. “This amount will go into supporting the musicians’ community affected by the lockdown,” the music director suggested.
The big amounts came from Haarika & Hassine Creations and Mythri Movie Makers, the happening production houses. “These torrid times have taught us that nothing should be taken for granted. Keeping this in mind, we are coming forward to donate Rs 10 lakh each to the two Telugu States,” producer China Babu (aka S Radhakrishna) said.
“In these testing times, we are contributing Rs 10 lakh each to the governments of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. We appreciate the commendable efforts of the Centre and the states,” Mythri Movie Makers, which has been producing some of the biggest projects, tweeted out.
We appreciate all the efforts done by our leaders & public who are supporting them by staying at home. A small helping hand from our end as well.
