Goundmani’s daughter’s silent help to cancer patients revealed

Many Kollywood celebrities are involved in philanthropic activities but only some of their efforts especially if they are big stars and in the market, it becomes highlighted in the media. There are a few who contribute to society silently and without publicising it and expecting nothing in return.

The Adyar Cancer Institute has many economically backward cancer patients including senior citizens and children.  For many years a couple from Chennai have contributed a considerable amount to the hospital without even the patients knowing who they are.  Now a patient who has been benefited has shared that the couple are Sumithra and Venkatachalam.

Sumithra is the daughter of legendary comedy actor Goundamani and it is she and her husband who have been silently helping the cancer patients.  Goundamani does not give interviews to the media and has also kept his family away from the media glare.  But its awesome that his family members are involved in such noble deeds as this.
