Seekers of government jobs may just have a piece of very good news here. The Modi government has resolved to fill up about 7 lakh vacancies in the Central government.
As reported by Economic Times, the Prime Minister-led Cabinet Committee on Growth and Investment has ordered all Central government ministries and departments to fill up these vacancies in a time-bound fashion. The Department of Personnel and Training has reportedly asked the secretaries of the sarkari departments to come up with an action plan towards this end.
Earlier this month, the Indian Railways announced a massive 2.3 lakh vacancies.
