‘Ghani’ Trailer: A complete package with emotional baggage

A present with the baggage of a heavy past. A promise made to a troubled mother. An ego clash between two brawny personalities. A boxing coach who won’t abandon his disciple come what may. A hero who can deliver punches and punchlines with equal elan. A road rage that snowballs out of control (probably). That’s the trailer for ‘Ghani’ for you, where Varun Tej plays the titular character with panache. 

Starring Saiee M Manjrekar as the hero’s girlfriend, the film has Jagapathi Babu in his comfort role. Kannada superstar Upendra’s role is somewhat suspenseful for now. Bollywood actor Sunil Shetty is Ghani’s boxing coach, while Naveen Chandra plays a strong anti-hero. Nadhiya of ‘Attarintiki Daredi’ and ‘A Aa’ fame plays the hero’s mother. 

Sharing the trailer, the ‘F3′ actor wrote, “It’s just a glimpse of the hard work we put in..hope you’ll like it! #Ghani is Coming to Deliver the knockout Punch on 8th April 2022!” The director is clear that ‘Ghani’ is about a strong desire to win the battle of emotions in the ring. 

Directed by newcomer Kiran Korrapati, the boxing-based drama produced by Sidhu Mudda and Allu Bobby. George C Williams’ visuals, Thaman’s music and the action choreography are superb in the trailer. With editing by Marthand K Venkatesh and production design by Ravinder Reddy, the film will hit the screens on April 8.
