The film “Game Changer,” directed by Shankar and starring Ram Charan, S.J. Suryah, Kiara Advani, and Jayaram, among others, turned out to be a major box office failure. Initially, Shamir Mohammed was hired as the film’s editor. However, due to the repeated delays in the film’s release, he eventually left the project, and Ruben took over editing duties.
In a recent interview, Shamir Mohammed described his editing experience on “Game Changer” as “horrific.” He shared that when he first started editing, the movie had a runtime of seven and a half hours, which he managed to cut down to three hours. However, after working on it for three years, he stepped away from the project due to commitments to other films.
He also mentioned that working with director Shankar was not a pleasant experience, calling it unfortunate and unpleasant. His statements have sparked criticism of director Shankar, with many questioning the lack of proper planning and the high production costs involved in creating specific scenes.
