Mani Ratnam is busy with the pre-production work of his mega multistarrer 'Ponniyin Selvan' starring Jayam Ravi, Vikram, Karthi, Mohan Babu, Aishwarya Rai, Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh and Amitabh Bachan. Meanwhile he is also penning the script of his next production 'Vaanam Kottattum' which is said to be on the lines of his 'Agni Natchathiram' that dealt with sibling rivalry.

'Vaanam Kottattum' has Vikram Prabhu and Aishwarya Rajesh as the warring siblings while Madonna Sebastian plays the love interest of the hero. Now the hot buzz is that G.V. Prakash has also signed on to play another lead role making this a multistarrer which also has Sarathkumar and Radhika in the cast. Govind Vasantha is scoring the music while Mani Rathnam's former associate Dhana of 'Padai Veeran' fame is directing for Madras Talkies.
