In a shocking incident, popular Hindi TV actor Manmeet Grewal has committed suicide at his residence in Mumbai. The 32 year old actor was found by his wife hanging by a dupatta in his bedroom and while she tried asking for help to save him, his neighbours didn't turn up to help as they feared he had contracted the coronavirus.

It was with the help of a security guard in the building that they cut the dupatta and brought down Manmeet's body and upon arrival to hospital itself he was declared dead by the doctors.

It has been said that Manmeet was facing severe financial crisis and had debts to settle and he didn't even have Rs 8500 go pay his rent. Following the incident, the Khargar police have filed an Accidental Death Report (ADR). Manmeet is popular for the comedy show Aadat Se Majboor.
