Tollywood will resume its film shoots from Sept 1, Dil Raju today said. Briefing the media, he added that those producers who need to kickstart the shoots at the earliest can do so with prior permission from the Film Chamber of Commerce from Aug 25.
“We discussed all issues in the second round of discussion. The final round of discussions is currently on. They will conclude on Aug 30,” Raju said.
Regarding the Virtual Print Fee to be paid to digital service providers by producers, Dil Raju said, “From Sept 2, theatres run by my company, Geetha Arts, NV Prasad and UV will not be charging VPF from producers in order to reduce the burden on them.”
As for ticket prices, they will be hiked depending on the budget of the movie from time to time to a minimal extent. There has to be a slab system in place.
Foods and beverage costs will be brought down by exhibitors as per the progress made by the ongoing deliberations.
