Fan wars over ‘Sye Raa’ collections

Most recently, Megastar Chiranjeevi said that he doesn’t like to boast about the Box office numbers of his films.  Coming from a highly respected name like him, this has acquired importance.

However, the social media scene is quite different.  Fan wars are rampant over the allegedly fake collections of ‘Sye Raa’.  With media reports saying that the first week’s share of the historical-costume drama is Rs 100 Cr (Share), “anti-fans” are doubling down on their anti-Mega propaganda.  They claim that the collections have been supremely faked by trade reports.

There is no reason to believe that the collections of ‘Sye Raa’ are fake.

The one grouse that can be had against ‘Sye Raa’ makers is this: it has been declared a historic blockbuster even before the distributors have achieved break-even.
