Srinivas debuted as a playback singer with the song ‘Sorkam Enbathu Namakku’ in Kamal Haasan’s ‘Nammavar’. Then, he sang many hit songs in AR Rahman music such as in ‘Bombay’, ‘Mr. Romeo’, ‘Minsara Kanavu’, ‘Ratchagan’ and ‘Padayappa’.
Srinivas has sung about three thousand songs in Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam and Marathi besides Tamil. Sharing his daughter Sunanda’s pictures, singer Srinivas captioned, “Photographs of Sunanda – my younger daughter.. She is currently pursuing a corporate career, tried a photoshoot for the fun of it, with a friend of mine…” (sic).
