The arrest of a famous Kannada actor by the police today in connection with a murder has sent shockwaves through the industry and the public alike. Darshan Thoogudeepa, a leading actor-producer in Sandalwood, has been taken into custody by the cops over the killing of a man named Renuka Swamy.

The police found the victim's body in a drain in Bengaluru on June 9th, indicating that Renuka Swamy was murdered the day before, on June 8th. After two days of investigation, the authorities detained actor Darshan today for questioning in relation to this case. It has been found that Renuka Swamy was working in a pharmacy company.

The police commissioner officially confirmed Darshan's arrest today. According to reports, the victim, Renuka Swamy, had allegedly been sending obscene messages to actress Pavithra Gowda, with whom Darshan has been in a relationship for over a decade. In connection to this murder case, the authorities have reportedly arrested nine other individuals.
