‘Corona Kumar’ is a long-shelved project by Vels Films International. The film has Simbu in the lead cast with direction by Gokul. It didn’t take off due to various reasons which resulted in a feud between STR and the production house. Now, it is reported that this movie might be revived with a talented actor.

If the reports are to be believed, Vishnu Vishal is set to replace Simbu in ‘Corona Kumar’. An official confirmation will be made soon and the filming will commence next month. It is worth mentioning that this project is a spin-off of the director’s blockbuster film, ‘Idharkuthane Aasaipatai Balakumara’, starring Vijay Sethupathi.

Vijay Sethupathi is said to be playing a cameo in ‘Corona Kumar’. On the other hand, Vishnu Vishal has already signed a fresh script with director Gokul under his banner, Vishnu Vishal Studioz.
