What is Facebook famous for? Apart from the recent data breach scandal. Fake accounts. Hundreds and hundreds of them. Nope. Not really. Faceboook has recently stated that it has removed 583 million fake accounts in the first quarter of 2018 alone.

In addition to this the social media giant revealed in its blog that it has also removed 837 million spam post mostly deleting all of them before being reported by any of the users. Not only this, Facebook also has taken down 21 million adult nudity posts as well in the said period.

“This is the start of the journey and not the end of the journeyand we’re trying to be as open as we can,” said Richard Allan, Facebook’s Vice President of public policy in Euripe, Middle East and Africa. Watch this space for more updates.
