In a shocking incident of child rape, a 13-year-old girl was recently raped by her Facebook friend in Mumbai. The perpetrator did it after kidnapping the victim by carefully laying a trap.
The accused is a 22-year-old man, who took the help of four of his aides in executing his evil plan. A Press Trust of India report says that the child has since been rescued.
Soon after the victim’s mother complained to the police, they surveilled her social media activity and tracked the perpetrator. Raids were carried out in Jhalwad in Rajasthan and Rajgarh in Madhya Pradesh. So far, five people have been arrested.
The culprits will be tried under the IPC and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
