‘F2’ Trailer Review: Spouses & Their Endless Issues

Once again (after Teaser), Venkatesh and Varun Tej are consciously over-the-top.  This is not necessarily a complaint.  The two actors will be seen as the spouses of two sisters, played by Tamannaah Bhatia and Mehreen, in ‘Fun & Frustration’.

It’s essentially a post-marriage comedy from the perspective of the males.  At least, that is what the Trailer suggests.  Cliches are there.  Once you tie the ‘Mangalasutram’, it’s your last day of happiness.  WhatsApp stuff this is.  It’s only men who go through the worst in every marriage.  Therefore, they are the real men.  OK?

Director Anil Ravipudi gives Mehreen a quirky mannerism.  Cool enough.  An aunty (Jhansi) cribs about the expensive sarees that the women on the other side are getting.  Comedians, ranging from Priyadarshi to Hari Teja and Chammak Chandra to Annapurnamma, are witness to the circus on display.

The heroes have surely tried their luck at imbibing alien slangs, among others, in a variety of landscapes.  From Nasser to Prakash Raj, even “serious types” are set to do comedy.

Releasing on January 12, the movie has music by Devi Sri Prasad.  Cinematography is by Sameer Reddy.
