Narendra Modi is today in the news for an apolitical reason. For a change, forget politics. The Prime Minister has just invited everyone to enjoy memes made on him.
Earlier on Thursday, Modi tweeted out a pic in which he is seen trying to catch a glimpse of the solar eclipse. The pic became the stuff of memes, with both his supporters and critics using it in different ways to generate humour. When someone tweeted out the pic and said that it’s becoming a meme, Modi retweeted it and said, “Most welcome. Enjoy!”
His supporters soon started trending #CoolestPM on Twitter in order to highlight how Modi is so cool because he is chilled about memes/jokes made on him.
In an interview in the past, Modi revealed that he does enjoy the creativity of the meme-creators. “In memes made on me, I see their creativity more than Modi,” the PM once said.
