Roja, who represents Nagari in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly, adopted a teen girl named Pushpa Kumari in 2020. The girl is from Tirupati. What made Roja adopt her is the fact that she lost both her parents to coronavirus.

The news is that the adopted daughter will now receive medical education, thanks to Roja’s large-heartedness. She has cracked the NEET exam. The buzz is that she has been enrolled at the Tirupati Padmavati Women’s College now. Medical education is a costly affair and Roja’s generous gesture for her adopted daughter has been lauded by one and all. 

As the Tourism and Youth Welfare Development Minister, Roja has stood as an example, her supporters are saying. The noble gesture has got the backing of her husband RK Selvamani as well.
