Karunanidhi watches a Rajinikanth blockbuster in hospital

DMK Chief and former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.Karunanidhi was re-admitted to Kavery hospital, Chennai on Thursday night. Though the hospital management has been sending official updates about the nonagenarian leader's health condition. there were unpleasant rumours doing rounds about him.

Now an official communication from the hospital sources confirm that the five time Chief Minister of TN is responding well to the treatment and he was even able to sit on a chair on Friday evening.

Meanwhile sources add that on Friday evening , Karuna watched Superstar Rajinikanth's 1995 blockbuster 'Baadshah' for a few minutes in a laptop. It is unclear whether he watched portions from the film or the trailer of the soon to be released re-mastered version of the film which was released yesterday.

It is to be noted that Karunanidhi who was one of the most successful script and dialogue writers of Tamil cinema is a film enthusiast and like many other fields he keeps himself updated about the developments in the film industry too. He also shares a very cordial relationship with Superstar Rajinikanth. The latter recently paid a visit to the former's residence in Gopalapuram to enquire about his health.
