‘Disco Raja’: Ravi Teja to face Friday test amid stiff competition

‘Disco Raja’ is arriving in theatres on January 24 (Friday).  The Telugu States, especially, are bracing up for the sci-fi mass action-comedy entertainer.  

A credible trade report says that the Ravi Teja-starrer will have to earn about Rs 22 Cr (worldwide) to achieve break-even status.  In the Telugu States, theatrical rights have fetched Rs 16.50 Cr, the report adds.  

With ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’ and ‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’ continuing to hold their grip on the box-office, this movie isn’t managing to secure an optimum release.  Nevertheless, if the content is cool, it’s hoped that Ravi Teja will pick up slowly and surely.  For now, he faces Friday test, forget Monday test.  

Directed by Vi Anand, this week’s release has Payal Rajput, Bobby Simha, Nabha Natesh, Tanya Hope, Sunil, Sathya and others in its cast.  At 149 minutes of run-time, the film has got U/A from the CBFC.
