The 2017 Telugu blockbuster ‘Arjun Reddy’ was made as ‘Varmaa’ in Tamil by director Bala. Starring Chiyaan Vikram’s son Dhruv Vikram as the hero, the film’s teaser was released to heavy trolling. The producer of the film decided to junk the entire final copy and make a fresh product with the same hero. Bala then walked out of the project.
Later, a new team remade ‘Arjun Reddy’ as ‘Adithya Varma’. They are almost ready with the product. At this moment, it has been learned that director Bala has sent a legal notice to Chiyaan Vikram demanding that the team should not use even a single sequence from what was shot by him for ‘Varmaa’.
‘Adithya Varma’ has music by Radhan and cinematography by Ravi K Chandran. It’s produced by E4 Entertainment and is a July release.
