Director Prabhu Solomon’s critically acclaimed ‘Sembi’ to have an OTT release on this date!

Prabhu Solomon is a renowned director who delivered strong films like Myna, Kumki and Kayal. His latest release, Sembi, landed in cinemas just before New Year and was appreciated by critics. Disney+ Hotstar, India’s leading streaming platform is all set to stream, ‘Sembi’, from February 3.

The powerful and gripping drama features veteran actress Kovai Sarala, child artiste Nila and ‘Cooku with Comali’ fame Ashwin Kumar in the lead roles. Sembi is about an elderly tribal woman called Veeraththaai (Kovai Sarala) who demands justice for her 10-year-old granddaughter Sembi (Nila) who is assaulted by a gang of paedophiles drunk on power and position.

Considered one of Prabhu Solomon’s finest, ‘Sembi’ has come in for a lot of accolades from various quarters and is believed to be one-of-a-kind for it features veteran comedienne Kovai Sarala in a never-before-seen role.
