Legendary filmmaker and actor K Viswanath who was one of the most admired icons of Telugu cinema passed away on February 3rd after a prolonged illness. It has now been reported that his wife Jayalakshmi has also breathed her last 24 days after her husband demise. She was 88 and also suffered from age related illness.
Several Telugu celebrities and fans of Viswanath have rushed to his residence ot pay homage to his wife. Megastars Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan visited Jayalakshmi a few days earlier after hearing about her ill health and the pics went viral.
Viswanath is also very popular among Tamil audiences having directed Kamal Haasan in memorable films such as ‘Salangai Oli’, ‘Sippikkul Muthu’ and ‘Pasa Valai’. He has also acted in several Tamil films including Kamal’s ‘Kuruthi Punal’ and ‘Uttama Villain’, Ajith’s ‘Mugavaree’, Vijay’s ‘Bhagavathi’ and ‘Puthiya Geethai’ and Dhanush’s ‘Yaaradi Nee Mohini’.
