Nani, who was recently targeted by some members of the Telangana Cinema Theatres Association after Tuck Jagadish opted for a direct OTT release, has found an emotional defender in director Shiva Nirvana.
Speaking at the trailer launch event of the film, the director said, "I and Nani had so much hope from the theatrical release of the movie. There are many moments in Tuck Jagadish where we anticipated that the audience will clap or whistle. When our movie skipped the theatres, only I know how much Nani felt sad. How many of you know that Nani watches his movies standing at an end of the auditorium to gauge the audience's response during First Day First Show? That's how much he loves theatrical experience."
The director said that it's wrong to malign the image of Nani without understanding the realities and his mindset. "It's not right to resort to propaganda against him," the filmmaker added.
Shiva Nirvana added that Tuck Jagadish will be watched by Amazon Prime subscribers even in rural areas on September 10.
