Dil Raju confirms release date of Pawan Kalyan’s movie

Speaking to the media ahead of the release of Sharwanand-Samantha’s ‘Jaanu’ on February 7, ace producer Dil Raju today said that plans are afoot to release the Telugu remake of ‘Pink’, starring Pawan Kalyan in the lead, on May 15.

Dil Raju, who has made crores of profits on ‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’ and ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’, made it a point to mention ‘Gabbar Singh’ in the same breath.  ”That film, which was a blockbuster, too, was released in the month of May (in 2012),” Raju said.

He added, “It’s too early to talk about what changes have been made to the Hindi-language original.  It’s too early days.  There is no truth in the rumour that the title of the film is either ‘Lawyer Saab’ or ‘Vakeel Saab’.  We are still in discussions regarding the title.”

“Producing a film with Power Star is a dream-come-true for me.  The film is shaping up quite well,” Raju added.  

Directed by Venu Sriram, the remake has music by Thaman.  Nivetha Thomas is playing the second most important character in the movie.
