The drama between Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez's marriage has dominated show business news. Once praised as Bennifer 2.0, the couple appears to be headed toward a breakup. Among speculations of a forthcoming divorce, several explanations have surfaced regarding their difficult connection.
Recently on his podcast, the divisive former Death Row Records CEO Suge Knight offered comments. Knight speculates Affleck might have gotten FBI videos of Lopez during a search of Sean "Diddy's" houses earlier this year. These tapes purportedly depict Lopez in compromising circumstances, which drives Affleck's want for a divorce.
Knight's assertions also go back to Lopez's past with Diddy, stressing a 1999 nightclub incident that drew unwelcome attention to the relationship. Both were arrested; Lopez's accusations were soon dropped. Knight maintained on his podcast that Lopez falsely linked another person to guard Diddy.
Knight claims that the FBI sent Affleck the tape as a kind of goodwill gift. Knight feels this disclosure has caused Affleck and Lopez to drift apart. "They want to show him things about his wife," he says, suggesting that Affleck—who formerly led a quite quiet life—is now trying to get away from the drama.
To add to the mystery, rapper-turned-politician Shyne has called himself Diddy's "Fall Guy" for the 1999 shooting. He says Lopez participated, acting as Diddy's "gun mule." This story has come back under public scrutiny and continuous court conflicts.
As the entertainment industry observes attentively, Bennifer 2.0's future is yet unknown with these explosive accusations.
