After Santhanam switched to lead roles from a comedian, one of the films that gave him a big career boost was ‘Dhillukku Dhuddu’ directed by Rambala. The 2016 ghost comedy caper was a money spinner that tickled the funny bones of the audiences as well.
The tremendous success of the film encouraged the same team to reunite for ‘Dhillukku Dhuddu 2’ in 2019 which also was received with the same enthusiasm from the audience. Ever since that there has been talk of a third part of the film and now it is on the verge of going on floors.
The shocking change in ‘Dhillukku Dhuddu 3’ is that it will not be directed by Rambala but by one of his associates Anand. Santhanam and Rambala go back a long way from the times of ‘Lollu Sabha’. The director was instrumental in Santa attaining stardom on television.
It is whispered that creative differences arose between Santhanam and Rambala and thats why the new director has come on board. The official announcement on the film produced by Santhanam himself is expected to arrive soon.
