The teaser of Yogi Babu’s upcoming film, Dharma Prabhu, written and directed by Muthukumaran, was released today. The fantasy-comedy flick marks Yogi Babu’s debut as a lead actor in a film.
Dharma Prabhu is set against the fictional backdrop of Yamaloka, where Yogi Babu plays the role of Lord Yama. The story presents a tug of war between Lord Yama and Chitragupta, played by Ramesh Thilak, and what happens as a result of the clash forms the crux of the film, according to a source. One of the noteworthy aspects of the teaser is that late actor and political satirist Cho Ramaswamy, played by Bosskey, and the Father of Dravidian Movement, Periyar, are featured in a couple of frames. Meghna Naidu, who has previously appeared in special numbers in Dhanush’s Kutty and Karthi’s Siruthai, will be seen shaking a leg with Yogi Babu in the movie.
Produced by P. Ranganathan under the banner ‘Sri Vaari Film,’ Dharma Prabhu also stars Mano Bala, Radha Ravi, Rekha, Janani Iyer, and Sam Jones, among others. The soundtrack of the movie has been composed by Justin Prabhakaran.
