Dhanush’s ‘Idli Kottu’ Gears Up for October Release

After the massive success of Kuberaa, actor-filmmaker Dhanush is all set to entertain audiences once again with his upcoming directorial venture, Idli Kottu. Produced jointly by Akash Baskaran and Dhanush under Dawn Pictures and Wunderbar Films, the film marks Dhanush’s fourth outing as a director.

The teasers and posters have already generated strong buzz, heightening expectations ahead of its grand release on October 1 in both Tamil and Telugu.

In a remarkable development, the Telugu rights of Idli Kottu witnessed intense competition among distributors. Eventually, Sri Vedakshara Movies, headed by Ramarao Chintapalli, acquired the rights for a record price – the highest in Dhanush’s career to date. This deal ensures the film will enjoy the biggest-ever Telugu release for the star.

Expressing his excitement, producer Ramarao Chintapalli said, “We are proud to present Idli Kottu in Telugu with the largest release of Dhanush’s career. We thank Dhanush and his team for giving us this opportunity.”

The film features Nithya Menen as the female lead, alongside an ensemble cast including Arun Vijay, Shalini Pandey, Sathyaraj, and Rajkiran in pivotal roles.

On the technical front, the film boasts a strong crew: G.V. Prakash Kumar is composing the music, Kiran Koushik is cranking the camera, Prasanna G.K. handles editing, Jackie is the art director, and ace stunt master Peter Hein is designing the action sequences.

With a massive worldwide release planned across Tamil and Telugu markets, Idli Kottu is poised to make a strong impact at the box office and extend Dhanush’s winning streak as both an actor and a filmmaker.
