On a day when Oka Manasu has hit the screens and opened to critical acclaim, here comes the news that versatile actor Dhanush has decided to reprise Naga Shourya's role in its Tamil remake. Our sources tell us that the deal was finished days before the film's release.
A soothing romantic drama, the film tells the love story of a political activist in trouble and a doctor who doesn't favour the political aims of her boy friend. Looks like the political angle has impressed Dhanush. Importantly, this element is also apt for the Tamil nativity. Thus, we shouldn't be surprised if this film is remade on a big scale in Kollywood.
Other details such as the remake rights price and all will be known only in the coming days. Since Niharika has said that she is open to working in other languages, especially Tamil and Malayalam, let's hope she will be roped in to reprise herself in the remake.
Meanwhile, both Niharika and Naga Shourya are getting immense applause for their acts.
