Actor Dhanush was last seen in the Balaji Mohan directorial Maari 2, and is now acting in two movies, the Vetrimaran directorial Asuran produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu and the Durai Senthilkumar directed untitled movie produced by Satyajyothi films.

Asuran, which is the film version of Poomani's Vekkai has reportedly completed shooting, and it has been said that now Dhanush who had finished one schedule of Durai Senthilkumar movie, will resume shooting for second schedule, starting from July 11.

This movie will have Dhanush playing dual roles, and one of them is paired with Sneha and the other role is paired with Mehreen Pirzada who had previously starred in Suseenthiran's Nenjil Thunivirundhaal. This movie will have Naveen Chandra as the villain, and music scored by Vivek - Mervin.
