Dhanush cuts through to your heart – ‘Power Paandi’ trailer review

The trailer of 'Power Paandi' that has released just now puts to rest any doubt skeptics may have had about the ability of Dhanush as a director on debut. The cuts flow like a noiseless stream, nothing fancy, but simple and hitting the emotional chords in every frame on display.

Rajkiran has never been shown this modern in his entire career and the actor has obviously made full use of the opportunity. He is slick, he is suave and proves he is leading man material right away. The film is apparently packed with action, and love between the aged, a  subject rarely touched in Tamil cinema. Refreshing to see Revathi playing the leading lady again and the solid supporting cast of Prasanna, Chaaya Singh and others should add the weight to elevate the drama.  Congrats to Dhanush, Sean Roldan, Velraj and Prasanna  who have already booked a huge opening weekend come Tamil New Year's day.
