Actor Dhanush who was last seen on screen in the action packed romantic flick Enai Nokki Paayum Thotta directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, will be seen next in Pattas. Pattas is directed by Durai Senthil Kumar who had earlier made Kodi with the actor.

Pattas is produced by Sathyajyothi films and has Dhanush playing dual roles as father and son, and revolves around the ancient martial art form called Adimurai and a son's revenge. Pattas also stars Sneha, Mehreen Pirzada and Naveen Chandra plays the villain.

Earlier, it was announced that Pattas will release on January 16, and now the latest official announcement is that the release has been advanced and Pattas will release as Pongal day special on January 15 itself. Pattas has been censored U, and has music by Vivek - Mervin.
