Dhanush is a versatile actor who won National Award twice for his acting performances. He plays a teacher named Balamurugan, who stands up against loopholes in the educational system, in his upcoming film 'Vaathi', directed by Venky Atluri.

Vaathi was earlier announced in theatres on December 2 but we already reported to you that the makers decided to postpone the movie to next year. Now, the production houses officially announced on social media that Vaathi is preparing for a grand theatrical release on February 17th, 2023 and unveiled two new posters with the final release date.

The film is shot simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu languages, the latter titled 'Sir' and produced by Sithara Entertainments, Srikara Studios, and Fortune Four Cinemas. Samyuktha Menon plays the leading lady while Samuthirakani, Aadukalam Naren, Ilavarasu, and Rajendran among others in key roles. The music was composed by GV Prakash with visuals by Dinesh Krishnan and editing by Navin Nooli.
